Popular Snack Recalled Across Florida Poses Very 'Serious' Health Risk

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc recalled their "2.46 oz packages of Shirakiku brand Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snack Curry Flavor" sold in Florida, on January 17th due to the undeclared presence of a common allergen.

According to the United States Food & Drug Administration, the recalled products, distributed to retail stores and online businesses across 38 states, "contain undeclared milk" which poses the risk of a "serious or life-threatening allergic reaction" to individuals allergic to the ingredient, not listed on the product labels.

Consumers should avoid Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snacks in curry flavor with UPC code 07441078512, featuring all lot numbers and best by dates.

So far, there have been no allergic reactions reported as a result of consuming the mislabeled Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snacks in curry flavor.

Officials are urging consumers who have already purchased a recalled box of the mislabeled Curvee Puffs Corn Puff Snacks in curry flavor to return the product to the place it was purchase for a full refund.
