Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings invites you, your family and friends to attend a free evening of Jazz in the Park on Saturday, March 7, 2-6 p.m., at Cypress Grove Park, 290 Holden Avenue, Orlando; hosting again this year is long-time Central Florida radio personality Yvonne Loggins-Coleman. Kicking off the afternoon from Mayor Demings’ alma mater is Jones High School’s Jazz Band and Opus Singers, followed by Jones High School’s Alumni Band. Then taking the stage will be Safia Valines, the Dave Capp Project, Dave Worker & the Union, and Marcus Click.
Community and service organizations that volunteer their time to make Orange County a better place to live will be recognized by Mayor Demings at this event; email parks@ocfl.net to participate. Bring chairs, blankets and a picnic, or purchase from food trucks; a Kids Fun Zone will be available. This is a free event, open to the public. Promotional support provided by WUCF 89.9 FM and Monday Night Jazz Jam at Dexter’s New Standard in Winter Park.
