The Creative City Project presents “IMMERSE 2019”

Central Florida’s signature arts event returns for its 8th year to the heart of Downtown Orlando as The Creative City Project presents “IMMERSE 2019” on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. In partnership with the 2019 presenting sponsor, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, IMMERSE is the annual performing and interactive arts experience from The Creative City Project. This year’s event platforms more than 1,000 artists from 140 arts organizations and artist collectives in the streets and public spaces of Downtown Orlando along Orange Avenue, Church Street and Pine Street on Friday and Saturday from 5pm-11pm, with installations opening at 3pm on Saturday. This year, IMMERSE will also include activations at Seneff Plaza at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. New performances and interactive installations from across the US and abroad make IMMERSE 2019 more exciting than ever.

IMMERSE 2019 features new acts and installations:

-International entertainment phenomenon “Blue Man Group” performing on Saturday, October 19.

-Large-scale inflatable environments “The Architects of Air” open Friday, October 18-Sunday, October 27.

-American’s Got Talent Top 10 finalist “Diavolo” performing on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19.

The Creative City Project presents “IMMERSE 2019”

In addition, IMMERSE 2019 will also feature new versions of two of last year’s most popular experiences: The Immersive Photo Experience “The Worlds of Corkcicle” and The OUC Lights.

This year’s performance highlights include: Original content from Orlando Ballet, The Central Florida Community Arts Jazz Band, Opera Orlando, cultural performances, the creation of live murals and a special collaboration between Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras and Creative City Project called “Orchestrate”.

Creative City Project’s commitment to “shape the global perception of Orlando as a city known for creativity and innovation” also expands in 2019 with the IMMERSE Innovation Expo. This public-facing expo features demos of innovations in art and technology that will inspire wonder in guests.

IMMERSE 2019 offers four different ticket options:

-General Admission Ticket ($10) – Experience the hundreds of performances of IMMERSE.

-The Full Experience Plus Ticket ($22) – Experience the hundreds of performances of IMMERSE, plus get access to interactive installations Architects of Air and The Worlds of Corkcicle.

-The VIP Experience Ticket ($102) – Get all the performances, all the interactive experiences, plus access to reserved VIP-only viewing areas at the stages and a curated guide to help navigate IMMERSE 2019 like an expert, along with two drink tickets for guests over 21.

-The Dinner Party Project Experience Ticket ($150) – Get all the performances, all the interactive experiences, all the VIP access and enjoy an exclusive, four-course meal right in the middle of IMMERSE with special performances just for diners.
