More than 500,000 glass beer and booze bottles went into making the exterior of the 30,000-square-foot building. That's 290,000 pounds of glass, or about 20 full dumpster loads, Cindy McCombs told Yahoo! Shine. Glass takes about 4,000 years to decompose, so this one building kept the equivalent of eight football fields (each filled to the top of the goal posts!) out of U.S. landfills.
